Our Cookbook Blog

Our Cookbook ~ What We Cook, is a compilation of every recipe we (Janice and Carissa) cook - recipes from our cookbook collections, our recipe boxes, and our heads! We set up this blog for friends and family who have our cookbook to let them see pictures we post of the recipes in the book, and also for us to note any corrections, revisions, or additions to What We Cook. We encourage people who are cooking our recipes to let us know how the recipes turn out and any suggestions they might want to make.

In addition, we will be sharing some of our new recipes (along with pictures) that are not in our cookbook. We hope you will help us out and test recipes and give us your comments.

Roasted New Potatoes with Rosemary, Garlic, & Olive Oil ~ page 102

These were great, I just did them on a baking sheet lined with a Silpat, but foil would work fine. There is a misprint in the ingredients, it says to use 1/4 teaspoon of salt...it should say 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt. 1/4 teaspoon is just not enough to flavor that many potatoes. I cooked mine the full 40 minutes, then added an extra 5 minutes on to it. That might have been because I had bigger potatoes, although I did cut them in quarters, not just in half. The recipe says to use 18 small potatoes, I used 9 medium ones...worked fine, just had to cook a touch longer. -Carissa
