These are sooooo good! Perfect for a quick Sunday lunch right after church because the preparation time is . My two year old took one bite and exhaled a long drawn out, "mmmm. mmm. m. Mommy, this is sooo duh-lish-us!". As she wiped her mouth with her forearm.
The adobo sauce in with the slaw gives it just enough kick to pack a little punch and make it more interesting, but not enough heat to make it intolerable. Loved it!!
Our Cookbook Blog
Our Cookbook ~ What We Cook, is a compilation of every recipe we (Janice and Carissa) cook - recipes from our cookbook collections, our recipe boxes, and our heads! We set up this blog for friends and family who have our cookbook to let them see pictures we post of the recipes in the book, and also for us to note any corrections, revisions, or additions to What We Cook. We encourage people who are cooking our recipes to let us know how the recipes turn out and any suggestions they might want to make.
In addition, we will be sharing some of our new recipes (along with pictures) that are not in our cookbook. We hope you will help us out and test recipes and give us your comments.

I just always love all your photos!
I also have loved this recipe since being pregnant you are not suppose to eat lunch meat that isn't cooked. Since this is heated up I get to get give in to my my turkey lunch meat craving!
you're the first one that told me about that lunch meat rule when i was pregnant with ellie. remember? you were pregnant with evelyn and you made us those roast beef provolone sandwiches (which i now make all the time!)
