Our Cookbook ~ What We Cook, is a compilation of every recipe we (Janice and Carissa) cook - recipes from our cookbook collections, our recipe boxes, and our heads! We set up this blog for friends and family who have our cookbook to let them see pictures we post of the recipes in the book, and also for us to note any corrections, revisions, or additions to What We Cook. We encourage people who are cooking our recipes to let us know how the recipes turn out and any suggestions they might want to make.
In addition, we will be sharing some of our new recipes (along with pictures) that are not in our cookbook. We hope you will help us out and test recipes and give us your comments.

Applesauce Granita
Did the hot weather sneak up on you too... try out this refreshing treat in the "New Recipe" tab at the top of the blog. --Carissa
I made this again this weekend...it seems to be best to eat it as soon as you make it. When you store it in the freezer any longer than the recipe says, it turns rock hard, and takes a bit to thaw out to slushy stage again. But since it is just 2 cups, it shouldn't be too hard to eat it all. Would make good frozen popcicles I think.
To make a post about a recipe or the cookbook, simply click New Post on the tan bar at the top of the blog. That will bring up a place to write a title and then write about, or comment on, a recipe. You can add a picture if you like, by clicking the picture frame on the bar at the top of the page. Then to post your comment and picture, click Publish Post.
To comment on a post, click on the word Comments located at the end of a post.
Also, under the header of the home page, you will find tabs of different topics to look at. Have fun, and remember we love your comments!
How to Use Amazon from What We Cook...
We are an Amazon Associate, which means if you go to Amazon from our blog, Amazon will credit What We Cook for sending you there. Any Amazon purchase made by going to Amazon from this blog will help us out! Give it a try; you don't have to do anything special--crediting WWC happens automatically. Thanks so much!
